Year 2 Sports hall Athletics
Year 2 pupils will rotate around a carousel of 6 athletics activities. Running relay (run as separate girls/boys races), Obstacle relay (run as separate girls/boys races), Balance, Javelin, Standing Long Jump, Speed Bounce.
Football Tournament– 7 a side
Teams will compete against each other to win the tournament – teams should consist of 7 players with a squad of 10 -These should be your pupils that regularly play football for your school team or an outside club. The tournament will be held during the school day so no spectators will be allowed.

Teams will compete against each other to win the tournament – teams should consist of 7 players with a squad of 10 -These should be your girls that regularly play football for your school team or an outside club. The tournament will be held during the school day so no spectators will be allowed.
Football Skills –Girls Girls will work in groups at different stations to learn skills, and develop their own ability to play the game – Activities will be fun and engaging, with an element of personal challenge added to the mix.
Dacorum Dance
Schools have the opportunity to create their own dance to the theme ‘Around the Commonwealth’ – There should be a minimum of 2 performers and a maximum of 20.
Pieces should last no longer than 2 minutes, and will be performed at the Hemel Hempstead Leisure Centre – Schools can enter as many performances as they wish in the categories KS1, and KS2
Dodgeball League - Year 5 & 6
Teams will compete against each other to win the league– teams should consist of 7 players with a squad of 10 – There needs to be at least 2 girls on a playing team. The League will run from February Half Term to May Half Term, and once established would welcome schools to run mini 3 way events with schools in their allocated pool. – Dependant on number of entries’ there will be a semi final and final
Dodgeball League Skills – Mixed
Pupils will work together to foster social skills, improve fitness and teamwork to complete the skills/tasks set as part of this inspire & engage event. Challenges will be sent to schools that sign up to be completed as part of an after school/lunchtime activity throughout the Spring Term – These students will then have an opportunity to represent their school in an Aspire and Develop league that will take place in the summer term.
Rugby Festival–
This festival will take place at Hemel Hempstead Rugby Club Year 3 will attend in the morning and year 4 in the afternoon – Teams must consist of a minimum of 7 players, 2 of which must be girls, with squads of 10 This will be a round robin festival – No Winners
Slam Jam – Mixed – Year 5 and Year 6
This will involve 4 boys and 4 girls – Teams will play as a group of 4 boys in the first half and a group of 4 girls in the second half – pupils will also take place in the slam jam skills half way through the event. Points from both elements of the competition will be added together to find a winner.
Active Bingo – personal challenge
Each day pupils will complete activities to form a line on the bingo board by the end of the week. These activities can be completed as part of your daily mile or your active 30 minutes. Pupils can challenge themselves to improve or beat their scores from before
Math Challenge –
The Teach Active festival is aimed at Year 4 pupils that do not usually participate in School Sport and have not represented their school at any of the School Games or local competitions and would benefit from a little more support and encouragement with their numeracy skills.
Taster Day - Year 1 will attend either Hemel Hempstead, or Berkhamsted Leisure centre to take part in a range of sporting activities to inspire and engage.

Gymnastics
A variety of gymnastics skills and moves will be sent to schools that sign up to be completed as part of an after school/lunchtime activity throughout the Spring term – the skills and moves set will be engaging for pupils and will with an element of personal challenge added to the mix.
